Volt is immediately hiring for a Conventional Machinist in Irvine, California. $25.00-$35.00 per hour.



As a Conventional Machinist you will:

Machine complex production part features with very small margin for error.
Create simple and complex tooling as necessary.
Fully perform advanced setups on mills and or lathes.
Machine all types of common aerospace materials without assistance.
Provide training and assistance to lower level conventional machinists as necessary.
Support the site with the highest risk one off rework operations when necessary.
Assist in developing new conventional machining processes for new product.
Other duties as assigned



This is a Full-Time opportunity

Shift: 2:00pm- 10:45pm



The ideal candidate will have:

GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
NIMS Certification desired but not required.
Advanced ability to read prints and perform mechanical inspections
Leadership and mentoring abilities and willing to train other employees as needed
Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
Strong attention to detail and experience in advanced detailed machining
This position typically requires evidence of at least six years of experience machining in the aerospace industry in addition to the other machining competencies described above.

Pay Rate: $25.00-$35.00 hour
