Matthew 22:37-39Summary of RoleThe Worship Leader position at The Crossing is for someone who has a passion for God and a desire to lead a wide variety of people in worship. Someone who brings a creative, fun, heartfelt energy and is as comfortable with non-Christians and new believers as they are with long-time Christians. Their love for Jesus is evident through the ways they love people, whether on stage or off. They are excited about leading a community in worship and equipping others to do the same. They love being on a team and collaborating. The Worship Leader is also an experienced, humble, and healthy leader on and off stage. Finally, they are a hard-working and talented musician who strives for excellence.Responsibilities

• WORSHIP LEADING
• Plan and execute excellent worship experiences
• Worship leader for Sunday services
• Lead worship for special events as needed
• Collaborate with art staff and teaching pastors
• VOLUNTEER CARE
• Build, develop, and encourage the volunteer worship team
• Provide leadership, communication and healthy teamwork
• Model excellence, teachability, development
• WORSHIP PREPARATION
• Serve the team through proactive preparation of set lists, lyrics, charts, tracks, parts, memorization, and communicating service details
• Schedule worship teams through Planning Center Online
• Lead rehearsals in a timely, fun, supportive environment
• OTHER
• Based on skills and interest, other opportunities could include more involvement in creative programming, series creation, music recording, songwriting, and more. The Crossing is an environment where each staff person is invited to use their gifts and continue to grow.
• BUDGET
• Manage music budget and consult on other creative arts budgets
• ALL CHURCH
• Participate in all staff events and meetingsROLE SKILLS: Great communicator and worship leader, strong creative game, excellent musician/singer, team-player, experience with chart creation, backing track creation and editing, Abelton, general recording software, familiarity with in-ear monitors, Planning Center Online, Propresenter.
