Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding & Charging Specialist
(Remote).
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze medical records to assign diagnoses, procedure
codes, and charge codes
Collaborate with clinical co-workers on facility and professional
coding and charging responsibilities
Adhere to the Standards of Ethical Coding and official coding
guidelines
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
At least 6 years of coding and/or charging experience in
ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS/CPT coding
A.S. from an accredited Nursing or Health Information Management
program or equivalent clinical experience
B.S. from an accredited Nursing or Health Information Management
program is preferred
Relevant certifications such as RN, RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CPC-H, or
CIRCC
One coding certification must be completed within 6 months of
employment or transfer if charge/clinical experience is met
