Aide/Paraprofessional, you'll be a vital part of the classroom,
supporting teachers by working directly with special education
students, both individually and in groups, to enhance their
learning experience. You'll have the opportunity to make a
meaningful impact on their lives.
- Competitive hourly rate of $21-$24, paid weekly
- Consistent Monday to Friday schedule
- No weekend work required
- Typical hours: 8am to 2:30/3pm, for a total of 30-35 hours per
weekKey Responsibilities:
- Behavioral Support: Help implement and oversee behavioral
intervention plans (BIPs), provide positive reinforcement, and use
de-escalation techniques to support student needs.
- Individualized Support: Deliver personalized, one-on-one or
small group assistance to special education students, adapting
teaching materials to meet their specific needs.
- Classroom Assistance: Assist teachers in managing classroom
behaviors, encouraging active participation, and creating a
supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Data Collection: Maintain accurate records of student progress
and behaviors, using this data to inform and adjust support
strategies.
- Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school
staff to ensure effective communication and a cohesive approach to
supporting students.Required Qualifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Experience working with children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
- English proficiency -Preferred:
- Experience in special education, particularly with moderate to
severe behaviors
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
- CPR and First Aid certificationBenefits:
