Direct Counsel is currently seeking experienced Defense Litigation Associates to join our team. As a Defense Litigation Associate, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload primarily consisting of insurance defense litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic and collaborative team of attorneys and gain valuable experience in the field of litigation.The ideal candidates for these positions will possess the following qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in the state where the position is located
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
• Strong knowledge and understanding of substantive and procedural law
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage a high caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience conducting legal research and drafting legal documents
• Strong advocacy skills and ability to effectively represent clients in court The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $140,000 - $160,000 annually, based upon a full-time work schedule. - Actual compensation will be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to employee qualifications, relevant experience, skill sets, training, internal equity, and market data. - This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. - In addition, this firm offers employees the ability to participate in health insurance with optional HSA/FSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, 401K, vacation, sick time, parking/public transportation allowance, and an employee assistance program.
