Job Description:
A company is looking for an RN Clinical Documentation Specialist
to improve the quality and accuracy of clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign codes based on documentation to determine working DRG
Analyze medical records to identify documentation gaps and compose
queries for clarification
Educate clinicians on clinical documentation improvement concepts
and coding guidelines
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education:
Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program; RN licensure
in Idaho or multistate compact
Minimum 3 years of patient-facing RN experience; ADN or diploma
required, BSN preferred
At least 5 years of acute care clinical experience, preferably in
ED, critical care, or cardiology
Current certification in CDIP or CCDS, or willingness to obtain
after 2 years of CDI experience
Previous experience in clinical documentation and DRG/coding
background preferred
