Job Description:
A company is looking for a Field Medical Director in
Cardiology.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the specialty match reviewer for Cardiology cases
requiring medical necessity guidelines
Provide clinical rationale for standard and expedited appeals and
conduct peer-to-peer discussions with requesting physicians
Ensure compliance with utilization management guidelines and
document all communications accurately
Required Qualifications
MD/DO/MBBS Degree with an active, unrestricted clinical license in
medicine or required specialty
Active Board Certification in Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, or
Adult Congenital Heart Disease
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the practice of Cardiology
preferred
Not under current exclusion or sanction by any state or federal
healthcare program
No history of major disciplinary or legal action by a state medical
board
