Job Title: Accounting ManagerSchedule: 5 days onsite, potential for half-day FridaysPosition Summary: Alliance Resource Group is working with a regional homebuilding and construction company on an open Accounting Manager search. The Accounting Manager will be joining a lean but effective team reporting directly to the CAO. The Manager is in charge of general accounting, project accounting, and reporting for 30-35 entities.Position Responsibilities:

• Oversee general and project accounting for approximately 30-35 entities
• Support weekly and monthly cash management, including bank reconciliations, recording of cash and revenue transactions, and related journal entries
• Accrue for prepaids, insurance, property tax, interest, depreciation, and expenses related to joint venture(s)
• Manage the general ledger and subledgers
• Manage project accounting for new and existing developments, including setting up new projects, tracking project budget and variance analysis, reviewing project billing and cash management, etc.
• Support external reporting to joint venture partners
• Update monthly business plans with actuals
• Lead capital calls to investors on a monthly or as-needed basis
• Provide annual trial balances and data for tax preparer
• Support annual and ad-hoc audits (2 per year)Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Strong Excel skills with Power Query highly preferred - confidence with all forms of filters, matches, IFs, and other data analysis functions at the minimum
  • Dashboarding experience required in Excel
  • Sage 300/Timberline experience preferred
