Artera is looking for a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead our team of Sales/Solutions Engineers and contribute to the solution engine. You will report directly to our Senior Director of Revenue Operations. We are looking for a skilled leader that can bridge the gap between the distribution of knowledge within the SE team. We are looking for someone to function as the hub to the many spokes within Artera: SE team, Product, Sales, and CX. The right person for this role has experience working cross-functionally with all areas of the business and knows how to set the tone for harmony between Product and Sales. You are someone that has experience developing novel solutions to solve unique business problems within healthcare and you are looking to continue doing that in your next role.

Responsibilities


  • Manage and mentor a team of solutions engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Wear the hat of player-coach; comfortable rolling up your sleeves and running in-depth product demonstrations for a diverse customer and prospect base.
  • Set a bar of excellence for how we show up to our customers and prospects to support the technical aspects of the sales process.
  • Develop novel solutions using our product suite to solve prospect and customer business problems.
  • Drive the technical enablement of GTM teams including new sales and customer development.
  • Provide in-depth technical guidance and solutions to meet customer needs, ensuring successful product implementation and integration.
  • Work closely with product management and development teams to provide feedback and influence the product roadmap based on customer insights.
  • Convince a diverse set of prospect and customer personas to invest in our technology.
  • Set performance goals, monitor progress, and implement strategies to achieve and exceed team targets and support sales goals.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree with 4-7+ years of relevant work experience (healthcare and/or sales experience)
    • Previous direct clinical experience (previous nursing experience highly preferred)
    • Experience managing people (team lead experience or experience being a senior level IC that has mentored others is OK)
    • Previous sales engineering experience in which you have closed deals within the enterprise healthcare segment
    • Strong customer facing-experience and immaculate presentation skills
    • Creative problem solving skills; demonstrated success in developing novel solutions to solve unique business problems
    • Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
    • Must be based in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, or the San Francisco Bay area, and open to working EST hours on an as needed basis

        • Within 30 days you will---
        • Actively build a foundation of product knowledge using the Knowledge Base
        • Shadow Sales/CX/iO/Ecosystem calls
        • Learn the technical foundation to the Artera Platform
        • Begin Artera Demo Certification


          • Within 60 days you will---
          • Complete Artera Demo Certification
          • Handle most introductory product demos (mainly mid-market, early-stage) independently
          • Know how to internally leverage resources to track down answers to prospect/customer questions


            • Within 90 days you will---
            • Independently scope core Artera functionalities and generate SOWs
            • Begin handling cross-sell partner demos independently, field basic technical Q&A
            • Actively contribute to RFIs/SQs
            • Serve as an internal SME (i.e. participate in the #ask_an_se Slack channel)
            • Be accountable for technical validation and scoping for prospects and current customers alike
            • Work hand in hand with AEs and CSMs on net new and in-flight deals


              • Beyond 90 days you will---
              • Develop a Solutions Engineering team charter together with GTM leadership
              • Create revenue growth opportunities and efficiencies by leveraging the knowhow of the Solutions Engineers to improve GTM effectiveness across a range of departments and functions at Artera
              • Develop and execute a system of continuous improvement for the Solutions Engineering program
              • Provide coaching and leadership to members of the Solutions Engineering team


                $110,000 - $129,000 a year

                The compensation for this role will be based on level of experience and the geographic tier in which you are located. This position also comes with equity and a variety of benefits.
                Tier 1 Salary: $120,000 - $129,000 + variable
                Non-Tier 1 Salary: $110,000 - $117,500 + variable


                LOCATION
                Artera values in-person collaboration and is currently hiring in the following US cities: Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Kansas City, and Philadelphia (Wayne).
                Artera HQ is in Santa Barbara, CA, and we have an additional US office located in Philadelphia (Wayne), PA. If you live in the Santa Barbara or Philadelphia area, your role will be hybrid and you will be required to work out of your designated office location 3 days a week, unless otherwise noted in the job requirements.
                If you live in Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, or Kansas City, your role will be remote to start. As our team continues to grow in these cities, Artera will be considering opening offices in these locations. Once that happens, you will be required to work out of your designated office location 3 days a week, unless otherwise noted in the job requirements.
