Job Description:
Act 1 Personnel, a full service staffing firm, is recruiting for
the following full time permanent position(s). All come with full

accepted until the right candidate is located. Acct Manager/Staff
Accountant with costing and inventory management experience. Under
direct supervision, responsible for general accounting activities
relating to the maintenance of a complete and accurate general
ledger and the resulting managerial reports and financial
statements. Duties include preparing multiple reconciliations and
performing required research in clearing items in a timely manner.
The Staff Accountant will also have responsibilities related to the
month end closing process, fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts
receivable, preparing journal entries, preparing ACHs / wires, and
maintaining / reviewing accrual and prepaid accounts. Major
Responsibilities: Bank Reconciliations and supporting cost
accounting. This includes working with departments to research and
clear reconciling items in a timely manner and maintaining an aging
report on the items that have not cleared. Accounts Payable. This
position supports the clients accounts payable function. It serves
as the primary contact in receiving check requests, ensuring coding
of requests to appropriate general ledger account, printing checks
and working with external vendors on researching invoices, etc.
Maintain the company's fixed assets. Includes ensuring all fixed
assets have been loaded into the system, determining useful
life(s), ensuring disposals have been recorded, validating
depreciation, reporting to external auditors for income and
property tax purposes, and ensuring company policy on
capitalization is followed. Month end closing responsibilities;
maintenance and review of accrual / prepaid accounts. Other
accounting duties, including supporting the Accounts Receivable
function. Prerequisites: Education: Completion of an Associate
considered, Bachelor Degree in Accounting preferred. Experience:
3-5 years relevant work experience in Medical environments.
Skills/Knowledge: Requires strong written and verbal communication
